What families ask us first
What ages and hours do you serve?
Children from 2 to 5. Mornings run from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., two, three or five days a week, and the full day runs to 3:00 p.m. on weekdays.
How does a tour work?
Book a time on our tour page. A tour takes about 45 minutes in the morning, while children are playing. You see the rooms and the yard, meet the teachers and ask anything. Children are welcome to come along.
What sets tuition?
Your child's age and the schedule you pick. We don't print figures here; the enrollment page and the tour show them.
How is a place held, and how does the waitlist work?
A place is held once your enrollment form and registration are complete. When a schedule is full, families join a waitlist for it, and we offer places in the order families joined.
Is Twig licensed?
Twig is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services, Office of Child Development and Early Learning. You are welcome to ask to see the license on a tour.
What happens when a child is ill?
A child with a fever, vomiting or a contagious illness stays home. If a child becomes ill at school, we call you right away and a teacher stays with the child until you arrive.
What should my child bring?
A water bottle, indoor shoes and a spare set of clothes in a labeled bag. On full days, pack a lunch. Leave favorite toys at home, so they don't get lost in the sandpit.
What about toilet learning?
We help children who are learning to use the toilet and we follow your lead from home. Children in the big room use the toilet on their own, with a teacher's help when needed. Tell us at the tour where your child is.
How do you handle a hard day?
Every child has hard moments. A teacher stays close, says what happened in plain words and helps the child choose what to do next. We tell you at pickup, and we call if we need to talk sooner.
